Estonia


On the 16th of April kuš! took part in the first Estonian comics festival in the art center Polymer, a former toy factory. The festival is the great effort by organizer Elisabeth Salmin to foster comics culture in Estonia and bring out Estonian artists into the light featuring a large exhibition of currently active Estonian comics artist and a panel discussion about the future of Estonian comics.

 Also some neighbors were invited such as the organizers of Boomfest or Helsinki Festival and for example Ingrida Pičukane from Latvia also had some very good hidden comics there as well as Yoshi from Lithuania.

Estonians probably have the most beautiful butter packaging and therefore we completely forgot to take any  other pictures of the festival. But you can see more on the festival blog. Also there is information which in google translate is quite understandable....
