SILKSCREEN POSTERS, ANIMATION MOVIES AND BOOKS OF LE DERNIER CRI

‘Life Art', is what Le Dernier Cri calls the radical visuals it unleashes onto the world. Known for its rather disturbing serigraphs and comics, the independent French publisher will exhibit handmade silk-screened posters, wonderfully terrifying books and hypno-epileptic animation films. This sensory overload executed with passion and humor by over 30 of the finest International art brut artist will be shown at the Dirty Deal Gallery in Riga from July 15th until August 6th 2010. The show will be opened by Pakito Bolino who in 1993 co-founded Le Dernier Cri, which translates as either ‘latest fashion' or ‘last cry'. At the opening event Pakito Bolino will make a presentation about Le Dernier Cri and after play life music together with the DEXPISTOLS to the animation films of Le Dernier Cri.
