ComiX4= Comics for Equality Award has announced its winners!

ComiX4= Comics for Equality - the first European Award for the Best Unpublished Comics by Authors with Migrant Backgrounds has announced the winners! The Competition took place from January 1st until June 30th, 2013 in 3 categories. While the comics readers voted by liking their favourite works via Facebook, international Jury* assessed and voted in two rounds.


Congratulations to all the wonderful authors!

 “Burocrazy”, Angela Wanjiku Njoroge - Audience Award
“Is it wrong to use stereotypes of your own country to your advantage?”, Mari Ahokoivu - Jury Award

Category Stories of migration
“The Boomerangs, in three chapters”, Corsino (Daniel López Bončina) - Audience Award
“How Mr. Black became Blue”, Dmitry Yagodin - Jury Award

Category – Fight against racism

“Helver, my first ROMmate”, Elena Vitagliano - Audience Award
“The problem”, Thomas Cuschieri - Jury Award


All winners will receive 1000 EUR prize each!
And the project goes on with a catalog and exhibtions, handbook and workshops all around partner countries and comics festivals in Europe. Stay tuned via Comix4= website and Facebook platform!
