kuš! invites 15 – 25 years old people to take part in the workshop "Comics for Equality".If you want to learn to tell stories in comics form, break your stereotypes about migrants, learn to recognise discrimination and racism, apply!
When? 13th of July, 11.00 – 19.00
Where? Youth centre „Kaņieris", Kaņiera iela 15, Rīga
Workshop will be held by Amanda Baeza, comic author and participant of the comics competition for the First European Award for the best unpublished comics by authors with migrant backgrounds and Sintija Lase, informal education trainer.
In the two day workshop youngsters will take part in creative activities and draw comics, discuss and raise their awareness about migration, stereotypes and combating racism. This workshop is a part of the Project „ComiX4= Comics for equality” which purpose is to foster intercultural dialogue against racism in Europe, by promoting anti-discriminatory attitudes and behaviours and using the artistic tools of comics created by artists with migrant backgrounds.
