The mini kuš! #26-28 are ready to be printed, but it's usually convenient to print four at once, so we'd like to give you the chance to release your comic as a mini kuš!. We don't give you enough time to draw anything new, you can just submit something that you have already prepared, but didn't publish yet. Self-published works are eligible, or also works published in any other language than English.

Additional info:
- If you haven't ever seen a mini kuš! before, then better take a look at them here or on our tumblr.
- Your comic doesn't have to be made especially for this! We even recommend you not to do it, because 3 days for 24 pages is just plain crazy.
- It can be a comic which you already published, just tell when you submit it, where your comic has been published before.

- We also accept submissions in Latvian, German or French if it is in any other language, please include an English translation file. Be aware, that if we select your work, we need to have it lettered pretty quickly...
- We accept submissions from all around the world, we might slightly prioritize submissions from the Baltics, but really everyone can submit!
- You keep your copyrights, you just give us the rights for this print run, after you are free to print the comic anywhere else.
- Take a good look at the format requirements, when making open calls for š!, quite often we need to reject works, because the format isn't right (often too big, or landscape instead of portrait).
- The jury consists of the regular kuš! editors and it's shadow office.
- We reserve the right NOT to publish any of the submitted works.
What you get:
- We print 600 copies of the mini kuš! and you get 100 copies for yourself.

We highly look forward to your comics! We will make our choice until the 17th of October and notify you then. Good luck!
BTW, these are the latest mini kuš!, you can get them here!
hello :) what resolution do you want the pages?
ReplyDeleteFor now just low resolution, so we can see the work, but after we select it we'll need it with 300dpi.
Deleteok cool thank you!
Deletemore questions coming in:
ReplyDelete- "Is it ok if the story is made by two people?" - Yes, if it is by two consenting adults!
- "Do you accept more than one submission?" - Yes, but maximum three per person.
Please do not send your files with google drive, we don't know how it works. Dropbox or wetransfer we can handle, but even better just send low res files as attachment.
ReplyDeleteHey there,
ReplyDeleteis it possible to submit comic pages that were already published on a blog? Or just strictly unpublished pages?
Warm regards,
Jonathan
It's not so strict. It's ok if they have been published online before.
